One of my students last week came up with a great question for her pets. She asked, "How do you see yourself?"
We
asked four dogs this question on a Tuesday night. It was interesting to
hear their answers. A Great Dane described herself as "Elegant, Funny
and a Mother". She's not technically a mother, but she sure mothers
everyone at her house.
The doggies appreciated talking about
themselves in their own words. I liked hearing how well their opinions
matched what their owners thought about them!
My students are so smart.
What would your pet say?

A friend asked me if dogs knew about God. I don't, myself, always know about God. I was a little afraid to ask.

Last Monday was the first Pets are Talking! teleconference. It was fun. My favorite lesson was from Sandola, the only dog we interviewed.

We're more than halfway to Tuna Sunday, my friends. Sunday is my cats' favorite day of the week, because the three of them share a can of high quality, dolphin-free tuna.

It's the first reading of the New Year!
Oh, and the hand gesture and pssst sound to remind him not to bark works like a charm. It is amazing. I may have to get you to talk to Jesse someday soon so that we can better understand him. I have always loved Wyatt to pieces but now my heart is even bigger when I look at him and think about how he has worked so hard to protect us all these years. I could cry thinking about it!
So,
thank you very much. Your talking to him helped more than I could have
ever dreamed possible.

Whenever I hear about people measuring love, I think of one of those hammers at the carnival with the bell, and if you throw the hammer down really hard, the bell rings. With love, either the bell rings or it doesn't. You either love someone or you don't.

It's been a bit since I've written about Ed. Ed is my quiet horse, the one that I have been working to understand. I've been using my Getting in Tune techniques with Ed, and they're working! I have a horse that's happy to see me, enjoys my company and doesn't just think I'm there for him to ignore me.

It took two years for me to get comfortable with the idea of being intuitive. Like most sensitive people, I am often a scared little rabbit about things. To say, "Yes, this is real. I am talking with animals" was to admit that I have been given special powers and gifts of insight. It's easier and takes far less courage to stay small and eat at the crumbs of life than to get big and take your spot at the table.
